Air Compressors
Essentially air compressors working in reverse, vacuum pumps pull air at high pressure. In thermoformers, they need to be huge because apart from creating pressure, they also need to remove the air with sufficient speed.
Hybrid Vacuum System
Inside each Vaquform is an impeller and a compressor working in tandem to get both high air flow and high pressure. When activated, it has the instantaneous suction of a vacuum cleaner, followed by the powerful pull of a vacuum pump.
Impeller Systems
Vacuum cleaners, which often power home-built and hobby formers, use an impeller spun rapidly to move air at high speed. But it does so with little force, maxing out at just ~3psi. That may be enough for thin films, but for jobs that call for sharp details or thick gauge material, this method is inadequate.
Temperature control
Your Vaquform knows exactly when your sheet is ready to be thermoformed. Thanks to its infrared sensor, it constantly monitors the temperature of the material and modulates the power of the heating element so that forming takes place at the right time, every time. Don’t leave it to chance: with Vaquform, repeat your thermoforming over and over again!
Hybrid Vacuum
Unlike “amateur” thermoforming machines that must be associated with a domestic vacuum cleaner, the Vaquform is equipped with an integrated hybrid vacuum pump. This pump is composed of a high speed turbine that sucks 90% of the air under the plastic sheet. A compressor then takes over and extracts the remaining air at -12.8 PSI. This innovative approach combines space savings and high performance.
Easy-to-use interface
Thermoforming has never been easier. Select your material from the LCD screen and press Start.
Once the thermoformer is at temperature, a buzzer invites you to lower the lever to thermoform your model.

HEATING IT RIGHT
Whether you need sound-absorbing panels for your studio, or shells for R/C cars, there’s a right material for the job. And each material needs to be finessed in a particular way.
For instance, PVC needs fast heat, while Acrylic needs slow, sustained heat, and so on. It’s a lot to memorize.
