FreeScan Trio – Handheld laser 3D scanner with 3 cameras

The FreeScan Trio is a powerful and versatile 3D laser scanner from SHINING 3D. It has four different scanning modes to adapt to a variety of workpieces:

• 98 laser lines: Enables mark-free scanning and a speed of up to 3,010,000 points/s.
• 26 laser lines: An all-round mode for efficient scanning of most workpieces with a large field of view of 650×580 mm.
• 7 laser lines: Captures smaller, more complex details or components.
• 1 laser line: Scans deep into holes and recesses.

Extremely detailed imaging of the smallest and most complex project features is made possible by using the FreeScan Trio’s three 5 megapixel cameras. These industrial cameras make it possible to work with a minimum dot pitch of 0.01mm.

Holes? Undercuts? No problem!

Single Line-Mode

Thanks to the specially set camera angle in single line mode, even hard-to-reach and hidden object sections can be scanned.

Integrated photogrammetry module

The photogrammetry module enables a volume accuracy of up to 0.02 mm + 0.015 mm/m.

By attaching reference points and a magnetic scale bar, the FreeScan Trio can quickly and precisely measure the spatial position of the target frame.

Combination of different modes

Engineers and designers combine the listed modes on the same workpiece to obtain comprehensive 3D data for reverse engineering, product design, quality inspection and much more.

This metrology-grade 3D scanner also features built-in photogrammetry, which provides exceptional volumetric accuracy on larger parts. It is compatible with SHINING 3D’s handy magnetic scale bars, which allow the scanner to fix its position in seconds. Multiple scale bars can be used simultaneously and are available in small, medium and large versions.

The 3D data can be viewed in real time via the software’s intuitive interface on the PC. The software also guides the user through the scanning process to ensure a smooth and user-friendly experience.
