What is Metal Additive Manufacturing?

Metal additive manufacturing integrates comprehensive technologies such as powder bed laser fusion, metal binder jetting and laser cladding. MPBF™(Metal Powder Bed Fusion), as used by EPLUS 3D metal 3D printers, follows the principle of the proven PBF technology for almost 30 years, and is now the standard in metal 3D printing for direct industrial production. The MPBF method is primarily applied for manufacturing in demanding industries such as aerospace, automotive, dental, healthcare, tooling and machinery. Those industries demand uniform part quality with high performance properties like those achieved by conventional casting or forging processes.
“We are the leading provider for high-end metal 3D printing. With our MPBF technology, we empower our customers from different industries to achieve the highly reliable and repeatable parts production.”

EP-M450 Metal 3D Printer

With a building chamber size of 455*455*500mm Eplus3D Introduces EP-M450 to the successfulline of MPBF™ 3D printers. The complete open systemmakes EP-M450 a very powerful tool for large scaleproduction for our customer to access different metal powders like titanium, aluminum, nickel alloys and stainless steel, etc EP-M450 is aiming to output the large parts with its high performance and high accuracy.

  • Printed parts’ density > 99.9 %, deviation in parts’ mechanical properties < 5 %.
  • The optimized gas flow design ensures efficient removal of smoke and splashes as well as achievement of uniform and consistent full size printing.
  • Repeatable positional accuracy along Z-axis of building direction ≤±5 μm.

EP-M650 Metal 3D Printer

Using MPBF (Metal Powder Bed Fusion) technology, the EP-M650 is using a 655 x 655 x 800 mm build envelope and four laser systems to ensure a high efficiency printing production. The precise positioning and innovative area splicing control technology hereby offers uniformity and stability throughout the whole printing phase. The system can operate with various metal powders such as Titanium-, Aluminum- and Nickel-based alloys or Die Steel, Stainless Steel, Chrome Cobalt Alloys and other materials. It is siutable for the direct manufacturing of large-size, high-precision and high-performance parts in the aerospace, automotive and defense industry.
  • Four lasers are printing simultaneously with up to 120 cm3, which is an increased efficiency of 3.5 times compared to a single laser system
  • Outstanding overall sealing performance, use and recovery of powder in a closed state.
  • The buildjob information is displayed in real time with traceable prinitng parameters and a detailed printing report.
